the size isnt the problem m8, I just cant find where to do it, probably just me!

Click on User CP on the top bar then you should see control panel on the left and then just click Edit Avatar...

nope, under 100 posts can't upload their own av.
only way to get around that is to donate, or hit the next level of posters.
